Celebrating The Season with Forgiveness
Forgiveness brings us to a place of FREEDOM within mind, body & spirit
Forgiveness is a physical and emotional experience that comes from the Heart Chakra. When the heart is filled with bitterness, anger and unforgiveness towards others, it takes a toll on the mind, body and spirit. In the spiritual world, we refer to it as a blockage from functioning to our highest frequency. This blockage is much comparable to having an actual blockage of blood flow through the heart, which eventually will lead to death. When one has a physical heart blockage, they just go to the doctor and get on medication, and or, have surgery. When the heart has a spiritual blockage, one must go through a spiritual death. It can be as painful as going through open heart surgery without the anesthesia. If any of you are like me, I am afraid of pain and would rather do what I can to avoid it. As a result, I end up carrying a heart full of unforgiveness. But I must share, forgiveness is FREEDOM!
I recall the the first time I felt forgiveness. It was like energy work. I was so very angry with my oldest son's father. I could have easily killed this man and not thought twice about it. This anger and unforgiveness stuck with me for five years and I was miserable. Deep down I really cared and loved this person, but he really hurt me to what I thought was the point of no return. Yes, it is the folks that we really care about the most that hurt us the most.
This blockage of unforgiveness is energy. I know this because I experienced it the day I forgave the person I mentioned in the above paragraph. We were at our son's kindergarten graduation, and I was watching him give our son a gift. I suddenly felt something physically lift away from me. I did not really understand what was going on at the time but, I felt a ton lighter. By the time I got home, I understood what had happened. I sat in the middle of my living room floor and cried for hours. Why was I crying? I had been broken for so long and suddenly my heart had been mended instantly. I was finally alive again and I was so happy to finally be rid of the pain.
Since then, I have had other painful experiences in dealing with unforgiveness, and I have to go through the same process. I will stew with it for awhile before I finally let go, with each time experiencing a new sense of freedom. I have come to recognize that as my vibration rises, forgiveness comes quicker and easier.
When it comes to forgiveness, it is the ego/pride that does not dare want to forgive the ones that hurt us. That pride is something we are conditioned too and what keeps us stuck to the low frequency of this crazy planet. We are not keeping the other person blocked through our unwilling to forgive them. It is actually just the opposite, we are keeping ourselves blocked from growth to a higher frequency filled with beautiful experiences.
